It is Martin Luther King Jr Day, and what better way to spend it than to be with a auditorium filled with students encouraging them to stay true to their dreams!
By the end of the day, I had the privilege to be with over 1,300 students. Sharing stories and lessons learned along the journey of life and the joy that comes with staying true to ones heart.
Middle school students prepare for our time together.
A big thank you to the staff at Norris for taking good care of me during my visit and to the Nebraska Department of Education for sponsoring the day.
Dr. King once said,"everyone can all be great, because everyone can serve." This is true, when we are in service for the higher good of humanity, it offers the opportunity for greatness of the human spirit. It calls forth our better nature and moves life forward in a positive way and dignified manner. May we all take pause to consider our role to create such a world.
Cheers,
Dean
