« Titus, the gorilla king! | Main | 2009 Spirit of Littleton Celebration »

Hi Matt, Elizabeth, Max and Reed,
Thank you for the post on my blog. I don’t know where the Rebel General is. But I see his photo in the paper all the time. They make the walls out of mud because it is what they can afford to build with little money. They can't make the ceiling out of mud because it would not be strong enough and would probably leak!
No one knows how many animals are in the wild, lots!
Do you want to travel one day?
Cheers,
Dean

Hi Eva, November, Marlo and Kylee,
Thank you for the post on my blog. It's great to hear you are learning about mountain gorillas. The rebels want people’s money and possessions, that’s often why they hurt other people. I work for Karisoke, so I don’t pay to see the gorillas, instead I get paid to take photos!
Do you want to see gorillas in the wild one day?
Cheers,
Dean

Hi Cameron, Sam, Madison and Rebecca,
Thank you for the post on my blog. Sounds like you are learning a lot about Africa. Cool! Nettles are no fun, no matter where in the world you encounter them. I have seen so many mountain gorillas, that I have lost count!
Do you want to see gorillas in the wild?
Cheers,
Dean

Hi Joey, Kylie and Ramon,
Thank you for the post on my blog. I'm glad you liked learning about Titus. The president names the gorillas because they are a national treasure for Rwanda. What was your connection to the nettles? Do you want to see gorillas in the wild one day?
Cheers,
Dean

Hi Skyler, Brian, Brent and Miguel,
Thank you for the post on my blog. I don’t know where the Rebel General is. But I see his photo in the paper all the time. I don’t know how old Shinda was for sure, I think he was close to 35. And yes, Titus is near the same age.
Do you want to see gorillas in the wild one day?
Cheers,
Dean

Hi Ronja, Lanae, Brandon and Joey,
Thank you for the posting on my blog. I don’t know where the Rebel General is. But I see his photo in the paper all the time. Dian only pretended to eat nettles. The president names the gorillas because they are a national treasure for Rwanda. I don’t know what kind of gun made the bullet hole.
Do you want to travel one day?
Cheers,
Dean

Dear Mr. Dean,
We are 4th graders at Highland Elementary. We know that Rwanda helped capture the Rebel General. Where is the general now? Since Dian Fossey acted like gorillas, did she eat nettles? Since the president of Rwanda gets to name all the baby gorillas, why does he name them if they are wild? Do you inow what kind of gun shot the window in the hotel? Thanks a lot.
Sincerely,
Ronja, Lanae, Brandon, Joey

Dear Mr.Jacobs
We are a group of fourth graders from Mrs.Banks class. We heard about the rebel general in the Congo. Where do you think the rebel general is now? I think it was cool that Dian Fossey recorded and documented the sounds and behaviors of the Silver back gorillas, like Titus. How old was Shinda in gorilla years? Was he the same as Titus. Thank you for the info.
Sincerely,
Skyler,Brian,Brent,Miguel

Dear Mr. Jacobs,
We are 4th graders at Highland Elementary. We read about Titus and Shinda. Why did the rebels want kill people? Did you have to pay $500 a hour? Or did you get paid instead? We licked the baby gorilla picture.
