Last spring before leaving Rwanda the call was put out for help for the Bisate Village primary school.
Adults and students responded from all over the country to help purchase Pens and Paper for 1,700 students.
Today I had the privilege to thank in person one of the schools who responded to the call for help. Isn't it wonderful to see young people excited about offering a helping hand? Through the use of a activity called a penny race, they generated $500 for the cause. And in doing so, they helped make the world a little better place.
Here was the response of the Bisate Village students when they received the notebooks and pens.
Here is Highland Elementary's response to the students of Bisate primary school!
Connecting young hearts in different parts of the world into one moment of joy. Few things are as fulfilling as that.
Thank you Highland Elementary for your generous hearts.
The day also included all kinds of cool stories and lessons learned about the Dian Fossey organization and mountain gorillas!
Cheers,
Dean
