From baby gorillas to waterfalls, my time is going fast in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, (DRC).
A baby mountain gorilla will nurse it's mother for up to three years of age. When they are first born they are completely dependent on their mother. One time when I was observing this group, cold rain started to fall, the Silverback and mother covered the baby to help keep her warm and dry.
This waterfall is close to where I live, well kind of close, it takes about an hour to get there on a winding dirt road that hugs the lake.
This blue concrete stone marks where the equator passes through the Democratic Republic of the Congo, (DRC). Where I live in Rwanda is actually south of the equator!
Cheers,
Dean
